A CONVERSATION.
Q. I have !>c;>n feel ins very poorly lately, aiul have just been told by my Jo3tor th it 1 u:n situ.-ring from trie ;:<iso:iing I shill be glad if you will toil me just wh it. vne pois ming moans. Is U a serious matter ? A. ITi • p .'is viiirc is e.uuad by lire retention in the blood of various substances which sli ui'il loivo t!sbody in solution. The retention of these substances is due to a tl.set.-ja.l nr inactive condition of the kidneys. When the kidneys are working perfectly th >y liber and extract from the blood of the average individual about three pints of uriuj every day. In this quantity of urine should hi dissolved virions waste materia! produeo 1 by the wear and tear of the tissues of the body. This is dead m vter. and its presence in the blood is poisonous. The three pints of normal urine should contain about ton grains in weight of uric acid, an outre of urea, together ,vi’,i nth ;r animal and mineral matter varying from a third of an ounce to nearly an one o. Q. Then lam to understand that the substances you. mention, when not o'ini i natod frmn the body in the natural manner, constitute what is known as uric poi oi • ing. What are die usual symptoms by which the presence of tlie.se poisons is manifest ? A, Mow you are asking rather a large question. Many complaints which are commonly e die 1 diseases are not actually diseases in themselves,, hot-instance
Rheumatism, Gout, Neuralgia, Lumbago, Sciatica, G'ava! Stono, iind Bladdan Troubles are all caused by uric poisons. Indigestion, Arstsroia, Persistent Haadac’ie, and General DebiSityavi often solely due to the same cause. In fact, if the kidneys arc doing their void freely and thoroughly, none of the complaints mentioned could trouble us, as tin caus ifive poisons would be absent. Q, I had no idea that so much depended upon the efficient action ot th kidneys 1 suppose tint when anyone is suffering from Rheumatism, Gout Neuralgia, Sciatica, Gravel, Stone, Blacidei Troubles, Ansemia, Debility, Persistent HoadacEif, or indigestion. the scientific method of effecting a cure would be to dire, tl treat th patient for the kidneys? A. Exactly. In fact, that is the only way in which a radical at d permr.nen cure can he effected. The kidneys must be restored to health and aclvi.y, so tha they may be enabled to remove the daily production of poisons in the Indy, or th> patient must continue to suffer. Q. 1 have always been under the impression that the liver had a great dca to do with the maintenance o! our general health, but it seems that the kidneys an ihe chief cause of most of the disorders from which wo suffer?
A, The work done by ihe liver is of the utmost importunes, and it is closely associated with the work done by the kidneys. Indeed, when anythin;: is the matter with the liver, the kidneys are almost always directly affected, and the contrary is likewise true. In the liver various substances are actually made from the blood. Two or three pound-; of bile are thus made every day. The liver takes sugar from the blood, converts it into another form, and stores it up so as to bo able again to supply it to the blood, gradually, as the latter requires enrichment. The liver changes' uric acid, which is insoluble, into urea, which is completely soluble ; and the liver also deals with the blood corpuscles which have lived llieir life and are useful no longer. Q, As the functions of the kidneys and liver arc so intimately related, I gather that if there is reason to suspect that either organ is not doing its work efficiently, a curative agent should be employed which would act equally upon the l.idnc-ys and it v r? A. Yes, that is the ease, and it was the realisation of this important fact which led to the discovery of that invaluable medicine Wat’ncf's Save Cure. About thirty years ago, certain medical men, knowing that, if they could iind a medicine which would beneficially affect alike the kidneys and liver, they could control mo-t of the common disorders, devoted themselves to the search for such a remedy. After many disappointments, their efforts were rewarded, and a medicine now known as Warner’s Safe Cure was. proved to possess the required properties in the fullest degree. Warner’s Safe Cura has a marvellously stimulating and healing effect upon both thr kidneys and liver, and, by restoring those vital organs to health and activity, it necessarily cures all disorders due to the retention in the blood of urinary and biliary poisons, such ns Rheumatism Gout. Neuralgia Lumbago Sciatica Even Bright’s Disease, ment by WARNER'S uuiiL.. A great feature, ton, is that euros effected by Warner’s Safa Care are permanent, simply because they at a natural. CREAM SEPARATOR. The “ Globe ” Separator Is manufactured on an entirely different principle to all others, it being made on the Link Blade system, which means PERFECT SKIMMING. By this system the miik Is divided up by plates in thin layers so that each space between the plates acts as an individual separa'or. • Instead of loose discs, the'link blades are hinged and joined to one single part, thereby preventing the parts being put together in wrong order.
