Poverty Bay Crown Lands.

The Gisborne representative of tbe Hawke’s Bay Land Board, Mr 0, E. Barham, at yesterday's meeting of the Land Board asked the Commissioner for Crown Lands when more Crown land would bo surveyed for settlement. Ho understood 48,000 aores were available in the Ngatapa district, whioh bad been partly surveyed, Sons of settlers now growing up wero leaving tbo district for other parte on acoouot of there being no land available. This was regrettable, and the Drpartment should bo asked by the Board to goi it opened up.
