PRESS ASSOCIATION ' Weiiicgton, last night. The Hon. Colonel Pitt is indisposed and confined to his room, Mr George Gray, Oomrollor of Monoy Orders and Savings Banks, is about to rotire from his poet on pension, whioh will take eileot on Ist April, 19J7. Mr Gray, who ia a brother of tho Secretary to the Post and Telegraph Office, was born at Aberdeen in 1816, came to New Zealand at Bix years of age, and has resided here ever since, which makes him a colonist of 54 yeara’ standing. H 3 joined tho Telegraph Department in Wellington during 1867, and bin piomotion was rapid until in 1891, on tho appointment of Mr J. K. Warburton to be Public Trustee, he was appointed to his present pcsiiioD. Herbert Carmoof, a jockey, who was injured by a fall at the Utaki raoes on Wednesday last, is still unconsoious,
