PRESS ASSOCIATION Dunedin last night. The D.J.C. spring meeting was concluded in excellent weather, and with a fair attendance. The sum of £533 was put through, making a total of £10,567 10s for the meeting, compared with £7560 10s last year. In the Hurdles Ecclaefechan fell, and Stratford the rider, had to be removed to the hospital The results were ; Waikare Hurdles— Evenlode 1, Leeside 2, Black Friar 3. Also started: Stronghold and Ecclaefechan. Ecclaefechan fell at the first fence and his rider (Stratford) was bruised about the back and sustained certain amount of spinal coocussien. Won easily by about five lengths. Time, 2.32 1-5. Divs., £4. Telegraph Welter—Grandstand 1, Sonia 2, Cuirosettia 3. Also started: Brighton, Thunderer, Red and Black.
