Sydney, Oot. 6 The jury in the Norttn-Hajnes case was locked up for s ventoon hours. By agreement,it waa artaugod that a majority vordiol should bo delivered. The jury found Haynes’ charges wero substantiated as follows : Wife-bea'.ing (unanimously), that plaintiff beoamo possessed of Truth by fraudulent moans (oino to tbrer) blackmailing (ten to two), incitement to orime (nine to throe), Grohua’ death (ten to two). The Judge, addressing Hay Des, I said : 11 Yon are acquitted.” I
