At the Strathfield Tennis Tournament Parker, of New Zealand, beat Jones for the Matrepoliian Championship—B—6, 8-2. Parker challenged Rice, holder of of the challenge cup. Rice made a desperate struggle to defend the cup, which he had only to win for it to become his absolute property. He won tbe first set, 7—5. Paiker secured the second sot, 6—2, and in the final set the New Zsalauder had it all his own way, winning by 6-1. Received 512 p.m., Oc k . 7.

WildiDg won the gentleman’s singles in London, and the ooutt championship at Queen’s Court, beating G. A. Oaridia by three sets to love. Wilding bas sailed for New Zealand. He won 20 Coals out of 24 duriog the Home and continental season.
