PRESS ASSOCIATION. Christchurch, last night. During the -week ending September 25th, 1900, 2048 eggs wore laid by the birds in the Utility Poultry Club’s second egg-laying competition at Lincoln College, making the total to date 17,:-.38, The highest totals for the week were: M Blanch’s silver Wyandottes 85, W- B. Cowlishaw’s buff Orpingtons 84, Alexandra Poultry Company white Plymouth Rocks 83, Allan Segtrie’s silver Wyandottes 33, The best total to date are : M. Blanch’s silver Wyandottes 412, J. Ashton’s silver Wyandottes 894, F. O’Brien’s silver Wyandottos 354, H. Walton's while Orpingtons 31.9.
