ELECTION EXPENSES.
.(Special to Gisborne Times.) Wellington, last night,
A return showing the expenstsof candidates in the last election was presented to Parliament to day. For Waiapu Mr Carroll’s expenses are given as JgL6l, Mr Clayton’s as £lB6, Mr Darton’s as £37, aud Mr Wall’s as £196, The following are the Hawks’s Bay figures : Mr Dillon £125, Sic Wm. Russell £B6. Napier : Hr Fraser £l3l, Mr Laicelies £lO9, Mr MoGia h £29.
The election expenses of the late Mr Seddoo have been returned as £2 13a sd, and thorn of his opponent, Harry Cowan, at 2s 10J, the lowest on record,
