THE WOOL SALES.

London, Sept. 26. At the opening of the wool sales 13.169 bales, inoludiog 8000 bales of New Zealand wool, were submitted. There wbb a large attendance and good competition for combing Boris, but New Zealand slipes were very weak. Merinos remained un~ changed from the closing prioes of July sales. Fine orossbreds are very firm, with an Amerioan demand. Coarse crossbreds are at par to one halfpenny lower, Combing and Blipes are only halfpenny, and clothing slipes one penny to three halfpence lower. At the tallow sales 601 oasks were offered and 386 sold, Prioes are un« changed. At the wool sales, seoond day, Merinos were very firm. Crossbreds are weak.
