COOK MEMORIAL,
(To the Editor Gisborne TirneSr)' Sir, —As a returned trooper, allow me to express an opinion re contingantera’ names on monument. I have Bpoken to a good maoy returned troopers, and they with myself think tbat tho publioity given to oar nameß quite uncalled for. We would humbly suggest ihat the names cf those who died during tbe wfg g lould be put on a monument in a suitable place, and let the Co:k memorial be a Cook memorial.—l am, etc., CORPORAL BARWICK, Late Fifth Contingent, j l A very sensible suggestion,— Ed.
