German newspapers reproduce an article from Volkiwirlsehaftlichc Korrespondonz, which urged reprisals against the Commonwealth if the ten per cent, preference to the Motherland is enforced. It adds : Shippers and exporters expect Govern-, ment to apply autonomous tariff to Australian similar to its application to Canadian goods.
London, Sept. 17. The Morning Rost states than German statistics show that German exports to Canada decreased from thirty-eight and three-quarter million marks in H)0o. The exports from Canada to Germany, from six million, increased to nine and threequarter millions during the sumo period.
