In reference to Lady Aberdeen’s letter, Miss Rose Scott, who is international secretary of the National Counoil of Women at Sydney, explains that the matter cams up at a meeting of the Council recently* Sir John Oockbum, Mr Wise, and other Anglo Australians, were present at a meeting in Londou, which advooated that cultured women shouli he Bent to Australia to oonduot bee farms and similar light work on the land. The Sydney Counoil protested against the proposal, i holding it would be a very dangerous experiment, as euch woman would not know the conditions obtaining in tbe country, and if they came out would find they were attempting an almost impossible task. c
