The sum of £BOO was paid to the Admiralty for her, and £722 wee incurred in overhauling her there and bringing her to Wellington, Captain Post receiving besides a gratuity of £3O. Captain F. A. Worsley was in charge for a year from the time she was taken over, and Captain G, S. Hooper I was then appointed at a salary of £3OO a ] year. The assistant engineer, W. Hannah, receives £192 a year. There are two other bands. The upkeep of the ship sinoe taking it over (including £44 for sending the crew back to Sydney) waß £9O, and stores have cost £l4l. Too total oost of the vessel to date is £2409, or about £94 13s per month.
