Mombora will note that the mortgage account has beeD reduoed from £3OO to £259 5s 4d, which is most satisfactory in view of tho largo i expenditure rn plant, improvements, o!o. A pleasing feature is tho foot that all subscriptions have boon paid, and your committee would thank all members for their loyal support in thi3 direction. I Whilst our liabilities are fairly heavy, still they aro represented by assets of mainly ]a permanent nature. A perusal of the profit and loss account will show that the working of the club for tho past year has resulted in a profit of £B3 6s 3d, as compared with £37 7s for tho prior term. Whilst it oannot bo taken into aooount as I regards returns, it is pleading to note the rise in market values, and has proved the wisdom of tho olub in making their property a freehold one. Several competi- I : oiu were held durieg the year, and we

ing Club, onr olub rinks being defeated, whilst honors were eyen between our juniors, cash club suffering a defeat. The margin between the two olubs thows that, though suffering defeat, our olub has a number of promising players, and with tho same devotion to praotice as in the past, there is every reason to hope that we shall at no very distant date turn the tables on cut friendly opponents.” In moving the adoption of the report, the President congratulated the olub on its satisfactory position. The green was improving, and he expected to have a firstclass green this ooming season. The position of the club was better than the parent olub was in at its inauguration, Mr Nasmith, jun,, seconded the adop-
