, Paris, Beph 10. hrenoh bishops have not revealed tbe decision of the Plenary Assembly, but it is believed they intend to offer passive resistance until it is clear whether tbe State will resort to foroe.
Mi Briand states that he is willing to receive the bishops, though he declines to negotiate with the Yatioao. He professes oonfidenoe that the episoopate will find a way out of the difficulty, since he cannot believe that they will sacrifice property worth three hundred million francs. Ho does not believe that Government will need to resort to forop.
M. Clemenoeau dcolares that the Government will never consent to renew reiations with Rome, He will never coosent to olose a single ohurob.
