I’ItKSS ASSOCIATION . Dunedin, last night. A iiro broko out this evoning in a six-roouiod house in High streot, owned by B. Greenwood, and occupied by Mrs Rolls, wife of tbo captain of tbo Tarawera, and it spread to an adjoining 11-roomed houso, owned by Geo. Fenwick, and occupied by Mrs Monk, both houses being practically destroyed with their contents, Greenwood’s bouse was insured for £3OO in , the New Zealand. She estimates her loss at £251 above the insurance. Mr Fenwick bad recently roducod tbo J policy' on bis bouse to £5041 in tbo New I Zealand office. Mrs Monk’s furniture was insured for £250 in the Manchester Office, and her sou’s furnituro for £IOO in tbo National.
