While a cyclist was riding on a footpath in Feilding the other evening, he collided with a lady pedestrian, and was astonished to receive a well directed blow cn the jaw. Without waiting further developments he decamped, and the lady placed the bicycle in the charge of the polico, who are now awaiting enquiries by its owner. “ They have a considerate Coroner at Gisborne” is tho comment of tbe Napier Telegraph, which quotes the paragraph regarding the calling of a jury together oa Saturday night instead of Sunday morning. Mr E. B. MartiD, organiser for the Opposition, is on a visit to Palmerston North. Mr Martin intends to travel through the colony for the purpose of establishing branches of the Beform League.
