TRESS ASSOCIATION Wellington, last night. Mr Jackson Palmer lias been appointed Chief Judge of the Native Land Court, and Mr Seth Smith, late Chief Judge, has been appointed permanent President of the Native Appellate Court. _> The new judges of the Native Land Court arc Messrs Walter Eawson, solicitor, Wellington; Charles McCormack, solicitor, Auckland; and Bobert C Sim and James W. Brown, Native Land Court Registrars, Wellington and Auckland respectively. Messrs Eawson and McCormack will each receive a salary of £ooo per annum. The salary of each of the other now judges will be ,£4OO a jear.
