Besides inserting in the Estimates for CoDgo Free State a sum of £12.000 sterling for prophylactic research, King Leop ll of Belgium has offered a priza of £BOOO to discover a remedy for sleeping sickness. King Leopold also invited the L’verpool School of Tropical Medicine to submit a scheme for the prevention of the disease.
