is understood that Dunedin, Christchurch, Wellington, and Auckland commercial men who have put up a capital of £IOO,OOO are interested in the venture. The farm is near the oil run as already located. On returning from Sydney Messrs Petrie and Way will leave for America, and will bring back with them £LO,OOO worth of up-to-date boring plant from Los I Ange'os, Mr Way, with whom I had a conversation yesterday, speaks very hopefully of the Tarauaki oil field as a whole.
