TRESS ASSOCIATION Wellington, last night. At the annual meeting of tbe WGlingI ton Racing Club to-nigbc the obairman said that not a racing club in New Zealand paid a dividend to members. Every "billing earned by ih3 totalisa'or wa? returned to the public on buildings and conveniences, and went to tbe advancement of sport. Ha did not know of any instance of a person taking cash from his employer to bet on the machine. Tho evils of gambling were on the bookmaker and tote shops, which wore a curse to the country.
