TRESS ASSOCIATION Wellington, yesterday. Tho Fires on Woolsbips Commission resumed its sittioga this morning, 8. Marcus, wool clerk to tbo Wellington Harbor Board, stated tbat ho receivod all the woo! to and from tho shed last seniOD. If any wool was wet it was placad on one side fjr inspection and drying. If a bale was too wet for shipment, the marohaDt was notified, and he, os a rule, took it away and got it dried. If lha bale was only slightly we‘, tbe Board got it dried. During tho past season ho found 635 halos siightly wet. Tho responsibility of loading during rain j rested on the shipper?. Under the present system cf loading is wa3 impossible for dsrnp fl rx to got on a ship. Dirty woo! gave moat troublo. It gocorntol heat to a very great extent after water got- into it. Is was after tbe dumping of woo! that boat was generated. Ho h?d nover seen a bale of vvool on fire, bat had teen one so hot tbat you oauid not hold your baud near it.
