The Election Court unseated Mr Fielding, Sir Lauricr’s colleague, for an agent’s bribery, but personal charges brought against Mr Fielding and the demand for disqualification for seven years were withdrawn.
Buenos Ayres, August 20.
Mr Elihu Root at Buenos Ayres said the United States would never employ tho navy for tho collection of debts. Such measures between themselves would be a war based on sordid objects. He advocated arbitration and mediation.
