A RACING APPEAL

In rrgard to the appeal by the Stratford Racing Club against a deoision of the Taranaki Metropolitan Committee with reference to the disqualification of Alex. Mitchell, Jas. Mitohel, J. D- Mitohel, and H. H. Ghiriatio, the judges (Messrs H, D. Bell, G. W. Huoier, and E, R. Gunness, who were appointed by the RaciDg Conference to adjud eate in the case) have decided that the original judgments o£ the Stratford Committee were made without jurisdiction by reason of the pr, since of two mtmbers who could rot properly sir, and tboreforo they disallow tbo sppoal Under (he very special circumstances the jadgss direct the deposit of £2O be returned lo the appellants without deduc tion.
