The Supreme Court of the United States decided that the Brooklyn Rapid Transit Company were illegally charging two fares from Brooklyn Bridge to Coney Island when only entitled to a single live cent faro The decision was ignored. Special police forcibly ejected upwards of a thousand people from ears, objecting to

the extra fare. Two women and a man ejected from the rear trestle were entrapped between two ears, being thrown into a creek and almost drowned. The authorities have revoked all permits to special police, and will assist in prosecuting lor charges of assault.
