HARACTER SKETCHES FROM CHARLES DICKENS.

Our roadors aro specially reminded that on Monday evoning next tho Kov. B. Parry will give one of his famous monologue outortaiumonts in tho Baptist Tabernacle under tho above titlo. In addition to tho fact that the procoeds of tho ontortainmont aro to be dovoted to the Nicolas Fund, it may bo mentioned that, according to the critiques of English and Australian papers, Mr Parry has no superior as an exponent of Pickens, and a vivid delineator of character. His character impersonations aro described as boing “ masterly’, tit times evoking the liveliest merriment, at timos touching tho tendorost chords of sympathy and pathos." Boing an accomplished mimic Mr Parry will introduce realistic impersonations of such Dickeusonian celebrities as Sairey Gamp, Betsy* Prig, Pickwick, Sam Weller and his Pariont, Pagin the Jow, Bill Sykes, Bumble the Beadle, the death-scene of Barkis, etc., etc. A very select treat is in store for tho Gisborne public on Monday evening, and we trust that the Tabernacle will be crowded to tho doors. His Worship the Mayor will tike tho chair.
