PRESS ASSOCIATION Wellington, last night. Government has under consideration the matter of allowing Mr Trcgcar, Secretary of Labor, to visit Victoria for tho purpose of organising a Labor Department in that State, on the lines of the New Zealand Department. General Babingtoirs period of appointment as Commandant expires in October. He will then loave for England.
Government has sent invitations to Australian States to send representatives to a conference to be held at Christchurch during the Exhibition, with regard to food adulteration and quarantine. At the Supreme Court, Sydney Mark Clark, charged with broaches of the Bankruptcy Act, was acquitted.
