A PIT FATALITY.
TRESS ASSOCIATION Ashburton, last night. While working in a shiDgle pit at Wakaoui to-day, James Dwyor was killed through the Bides of tho pit oaving in, and the fall tf dobris burying him. A rescue party quickly set to wok, but although only a quarter of sn hour elapsed before tho sbiuglo was cleared away, lifo was ixiinct when the man was disinterred.
