I’RESS ASSOCIATION Wanganui, last Dight, The representative match Taranaki v, Wanganui resulted iu a viotory for the former by 19 points to 8. The weather wbb fine and there was a large attendance. Tbe resale is hardly a true criterion of the merits of the teams. Tbe Taranaki backs played with great brilliancy, and scored most of tho points. Hunter, Cameron, Mynott, and Abbott p’ayed splendidly. The Wanganui forwards played a great gime, bu > the baoks were only fair. Abbott (2), Oameron (2), and Crowley (1) soored tries for Taraneki. Three were converted. Meuli and Mitchell scored tries for Wanganui, Southoombe converting one.
