Tbe resale is hardly a true criterion of the merits of the teams. Tbe Taranaki backs played with great brilliancy, and scored most of tho points. Hunter, Cameron, Mynott, and Abbott p’ayed splendidly. The Wanganui forwards played a great gime, bu > the baoks were only fair. Abbott (2), Oameron (2), and Crowley (1) soored tries for Taraneki. Three were converted. Meuli and Mitchell scored tries for Wanganui, Southoombe converting one.
