Defendant denied having sold beer or having any in the place. Hokitiln, last night. Mr Lsslio Beynolds, CE, has been engaged by the Hokitika Harbor Bjard to prepare a eobeme for tbo improvement of tho Hokitika harbor. At a meeting of tho Seddjn Memorial Committee it was decided to iseuo subscription lists at once, but the queeiion as to whet ebapß the memorial should lake was he Id over until the lists ore returned.
