TRAMWAY ACCIDENT.
PRESS ASSOCIATION Wellington, last night. A serious aoeident occurred in Manuerti street about 3 o’clock this afternoon. Mrs Spring, whoee husband is a french polisher employed in the oily, was crossing a street, when she noticed that a tesmoar going; towaids Willis street was almost upon her, She made an tffnt to get off the line, bat was ought by the apron and thrown on to the other line a'mist under the wheels of another oar whioh was eoming frox Tborndon. This oar brought up almost iostautly, but too late to avoid inflicting; seiious injuries to Mrs Spring. Her itfti leg was frao'.ured, aud her head and body cot, and her system a'so reoeived a severe shook. She was removed to the hospital.
