Auckland, last night. The schooner Waiapu arrived from Gisr bomp, via East Coast, yesterday, after a rip of a month, due to the exceedingly ough weather on tbe Coast. For three weeks she was anchored in Hioks’ Bay r fal l ß “ fioMe westerly was in progress. Last Monday morning the wind suddenly sbiffied to tbe south-east, and within an hour wbb blowing strongly from that quarter. Hick.’s Bay then offering no shelter tbe sohoon.r ran round to Little Awanui, where Bhe anchored until Thursday, it being inadvisable to faoe the weather in view of tho shifting nature of the shingle ballast. On Thursday the weather moderated, and Oreti Point was left on that morning, light easterly winds with very heavy sea being met with until
