Is creates a fund of one million? two hundred thousand pounds for a railway telegraph between the Gape and Cairo, administered by Otto Beit, Julius Werner, and B. F. Hawkesley. It also bequeaths Two hundred thousand pounds for the establishment of a University at Johannesburg, and tho same amount for edu tionai and other purposes in Rhodesia. One hundred and thirty-five thousand pounds for the London University College of Technology. Twenty-five thousand pounds for the London University Institute of Medical Science. Seventy-five thousand pounds for other educational purposes in South Africa. Forty thousand pounds for the London Hospital. Twenty thousand pounds for oharitable purposes at London. Twenty thousand pounds for charitable purposes at Hamburg. The testator bequeaths the residue of the estate to his brother Otto.
