Wounded soldiers on the field of battle are often overlooked and mistakon for doad on account of their being too feeble to call out. To rpmady this a physician in tho Japanese Rod Cross service has invented a whistle which, with very slight exertion, gives a loud sound, and thus attracts tbe , attention of those ia search of the wounded. . ~
