Of tho remainder the majority are assisted immigrants, of whom a vory large proportion come from London. About 117 ore booked foi Auckland, 137 to Wellington, 38 to and 52 to Port Chalmers, similar numb, is going to other places. Toe immigrants have 8 a similar story to tell to that of earlier arrivals-that they were attracted to this colony by promises of wo.k at moro remunerative weger. Immediately open tho arrival of the vessel of the Labor Department went on boird with tho Health Officer for tho purpose of taking the names of all immigrants for Auckland, together with their trade and occupations. Instructions -re given to all navvies to at once call at the Labo Bureau for the purpose of be ng book.
