IMPORTED NAVVIES.
INDIGNANT UNIONISTS.
TRESS ASSOCIATION. Dunedin, last night, A public meeting was called by the Dunedin and Suburban Industrial Union of Workers this evening to protest against the influx of navvies while many in the colony wore unable to obtain work. Messrs S. Boreham and A. B. Barclay, M.H.R., were the principal speakers. It was re* solved “ that this meeting instruct Mr S. Boreham to write a letter to one of the large daily papers in the Home country and giving a detailed account of the conditions of labor in this colony, and also the cost of living.”
