At a mooting of the Sydnoy Licdertafol, it was resolved that after hearing the explanation of Mr Orchard as to the manner in which he has boon treated by the Government of New Zealand, in having his appointment by the Committee of entertainment in connection with tho orchestra of International Exhibition, cancelled in favor of another appointment, expresses sympathy with Mr Orchard, and indignation at the course adopted by tho authorities. Tho meeting also desired to convoy to tho Entertainment Committee that it fully realised the unfair position in which the Committee was placed by having its unanimous selection ignored by tho Minister.
