Tho Government are unable to entertain the proposal by M r Marshall Hall of Melbourne, to bring to Now Zealand a firat-clasa orchestra of over 40 or 50 players to give performances throughout the Exhibition. A small bouse occupied by Mary Yardley, at Balclutha, was destroyed by lire early this morning, and the woman was burnt to death.
