The weather was fine, with a strong wind across the ground. The attendance was very largo. Mollbone, V and G Nicholson stood out. In the first half She play was even. The visitors appeared to get the ball more often, chiefly owing to the eorawed pack, but Globe w&3 stronger in tho scrum, tho only score coming towards tho close. Globe was awarded a free kick, end Cooper taking the s„ot jnet on tho boundary landed a groat goal. Pot tliß.visitors Plant and A. Little were prominent for their fine kicking. Tbs first half ended with Glebe three and Auckland nil. In the seoond half Glebe opened) with Riddell plaoing a goal to their cred* The Auckland forwards then livened up.W W. Tylar got aoross, but his shot fiew wide ? The visitors continued to attack vigorously, and a spell of exciting play resulted. The Aucklanders ' were given ft free kick, from which MoGee landed a nioe goal. Prom this out tbo visitors kept their opponents etriotly on the defensive, though not so strong, their clever taofiico and fine rushes proving effective. Some clever passing by McGeß, Godding, and Smith-gave the visitors another chaooe at goal. Just before tho olose a nasty aooN dent ocourred.
