CABINET’S STRANGE RE TRENCHMENT SCHEME.
EXPERTi THREATEN TO RESIGN.

It is understood that a majority of tho Cabinot deeidod to abandon the construction of ths second Dreadnought. It is statod that the Admiralty experts threaten to resign. Some Liberal members of the House of Commons • aro alarmed at tho reduction, and have formed permanent organisations to protoct tho interest of the navy.
Considerations of tho naval estimates has been postponed until the Cabinet has settled definitely upon the policy it intends to pursue.
