Hank books, liraund opposed the change of venue on the ground that lie would not get a fair trial at Dunedin, but the Chief Justice ordered the change conditionally on Neill succeeding in the application for retention of the books. If he failed he would reconsider the matter. Braund said he probably would not proceed with the case if the change of venue was granted. The Chief Justice said ho had ljothiug to do with that, lie was certain Braund would get a fair trial at Duncdip,
