Ha look honors in ohomistry, etc., at tbo South Australian University in 1893. In 1896 ho was appointed Assistant Professor of Engineering at Eferiol College, Edinburgh. Subsequently ho returned to Adelaide, and later on was I appointed os eleotrioal engineer to tbo Sydney City Counoil, and hold that position until 1903. when he oomo to Christ- I church, whore ho was installed as eleo- I irioal engineer to tbe municipality. Then I he was It oturer to the Canterbury Oollogp, I and finally was oboeen by tbo New Zea- I land Elootrioal Construction Company as I its engineer. I
