The Govern;# rnt steamer Hinomoa on bor voyage from Westport, eejjrobed for the derelict reported to be drifting about Cook Straits, but saw ro trace of it. Io the vicinity of Kapiti Island she found a portion of a ship’s boat built of kauri, and also found potion of a cabin table on Maybeu Island, The wreckage had apparently not long been in the water, but thero was nothing to Identify tbo boat or fret# where it oamr.
