Government, in eonseqnonoe of a memorial ilgned by 847 members of the House of Commons, grunted a day to disouss Mr W. G. MoNeill’s motion oensnring Justice Grantham’s conduct in connection with the Yarmouth eleotion petition. Mr Balfour depreoated the House of Commons beoomiDg a Court of Appeal for eleotion petitions. He deplored Justice Grantham’s demeanor and judicial indiscretions, bnt argnod that be was honest Bnd straightforward, though an internpernte partisan. Mr MoNeill withdrew his motion.
