Sydney, July 15In tho Assembly Crick gave notice of a motion for to-morrow, condemnatory ot tho Bposkor for having him removed. Mr Holman followed with a personal explanation in reply to the charges Norton mado against him on Tuosdoy night. Those, ho said, inoluded being a conviotea feloD, in connootion with the failure of a Labor paper eleven years ago. He oxplaind that ho occupied an honorary position on tho board oi tho paper, whioh was unfortunately ill-managed from the start. When it failed ho aod three others were teohnioally convioted of conspiriog to dofraud, but tho conviotion was quashed His own savings went in tho smash, and from beginning to ond he never got a farthing out of the venture. Nortons Other charges were writing leader o in Oootamundra papers against Norton, aooepting a bribe from brewers and corruption, all of whioh he warmly denied. He invited tho fullest inquiry. He dramatioally oonoluded by aooepting Norton’s challenge to resign and contest the Oootsinundra seat. Norton, at the time of the challenge, handed in his resignation as a member. Both resignations were handed to tno Speaker, and the seats subsequently declared vacant.
