There is every prospect of a reoord gathering at tbo opening of the Gisborne Raoing Club’s Sieepleobsa Meeting, to be held at the Park racecourse to-day. The excellent acceptances should justify largo fields, and first class raoing should result. The Club have made substantial alterations and improvements in their pretty ground, the convenience and comfort of tbe,|>ublio being considered to the utmost. An excellent train service has been arranged, trains leaving Gisborne at 8, 11.20,12.20, and 130, returning from the course at 10.35, 11.50, 12.40, 1.50, and -4.40. The outward: train for Te Karaka will leave at 5 p.m. The refreshment and lunoheon rooms Will he under the control of Mr J.
