Nelson, last night. ,A nine-roomed houae at the Port, belonging to Mr Rainer, now of Pioton, was burned to the ground this evening. It was oooupied by Mr Blotohyndon, a recent arrival from lodia, who bad left an oil beater in the bathroom, where the fire apparently originated. He is a heavy loser, praotically nothing being saved. The insurances are not obtainable. • New Plymouth, last night. Charles Turner, farmer, aged 85 years, reoeived into the hospital on Saturday, sugaring from injuries received through a kick from a horse whioh ho wa3 grooming, sustained a complete fraoture of the bowels, and died at midday on Monday.
