HOLY TRINITY CHURCH.

The services in the above church yesterday were in connection with the British and Foreign Bible Society. At 8 a.m. there was a celebration of the Holy Communion, the celebrant being the vicar of Holy Trinity,

At 11 a m. Morning Prayer and Litany were said by the clergy. The vioar occupied the pulpit, and made a passing refer-, enoe to the work of the great Society. At 7 o’olock choral evensong was sun". There was a large congregation. The clergy officiating were: Bev. H. W. Williams, M.A., Itsv. F. W. Chatierton, Bev. M. Cookerill, 8.A., Bev. H. N. Wright, Bev. F. H. Spencer, and Bev. L. Dawson Thomas, vicar. Speoial hymns were heartily sung, and the ohoir rendered Varley Boberts' beautiful anthem “ Seek ye the Lord,” Mr C. 0. Buby singing the tenor solo. The Bev. F. H. Spenoer delivered a most impressive and forcible address, based on the text, 11 They beokoned unto their partners which were in the other ship that they should oome and help them; and they oame and filled both the ships.” The preacher Bpoke at length on the great work that the noble Bible Society bad done and was doing in Fiji, Amerioa, India, and in other lands throughout the world.
