Hamilton, last Digbt, A matter of very great importaneo to district high schools was brought -up by the headmaster at a meeting' of the Hamilton West High Sohool. He stated that the Railway Department was now refusing to grant free railway tickets to district high sohool pupils, unless they have obtained scholarships. The fact was that those who had obtained scholarships did not attond the sohool. Half the high school pupils oame by rail, and tbo now regulations, if oontinuod, would mean ruin to the school. It was explained that the Railway Department did net carry pupils I free, but dobitod the Education Depart I meat with tbo oost, and it was presumed I the lattor Department was responsible for the obango. The regulations were only issued last Tuesday by an Order-in-Gonnoil. It was rts jived to protest strongly to the authorities on the mailer. .
