The debate on the Anti-Trust Bill so far has been mostly confined to the Oppos> tion, who contend that while the Bill is ostensibly to proteot the people against the trusts, the real intention is to shut out import?.
! Mr Fowler, Westralian Labor member, characterised the Bill bb protection run stark, staring, raving mad. Mr Watson, while promising support, indicated that be would move important, amendments, which Sir W. Lyne promised would receive attention. Mr Watson declared in favor of nationalisation of monopolies, but did not want to overthrow private enterprise.
